What to Wear in Europe!
I was lucky enough to spend 2 weeks in Europe this summer with my husband, Braxton, and 4 of our best friends. We spent 3 days in Santorini, Greece and then travelled to Genoa, Italy where we embarked on a cruise that stopped in Rome, Italy, Sicily, Italy, Ibiza, Spain, Valencia, Spain, and Marsailles, France. It was a whirlwind of a trip, and I brought a few fashion takeaways back with me to share with you all :) Click on the photos below for direct links to everything I wore!
Wear comfortable tennis shoes everywhere. You’re going to be doing A LOT of walking!
Wear biker shorts underneath dresses. It’s super windy, especially in Greece, plus this helps with all the walking if you’re in the #ThickThighsClub with me ;)
Always keep an extra outfit in your carry-on bag when flying. I liked having the option of changing clothes after our overnight flight, PLUS the security of knowing you have an extra outfit if your luggage were to get delayed or lost!
Bright a small cross-body bag that either zips or clasps securely. There are a lot of people in crowded areas, so having my belongings right across my chest the whole time gave me peace of mind.
Bright a light jacket/shirt or linen button-down everywhere. It can get windy and/or very sunny so this functions as warmth AND sun protection.
Athleisure isn’t really a thing in Europe like it is in America…I recommend wearing linen/satin pants and tank tops or dresses to maintain comfort and fashion. It’s also important to make sure you’re dressed appropriately for any religious buildings you plan on touring.
Plan to re-wear/mix & match clothing items like tops, bottoms, swimsuits, and cover-ups. I was able to wear some of my pants and bodysuits multiple times!
Bring EXTRA socks and underwear :)
I recommend packing 1 pair of walking sneakers, 1 pair of sandals, and 1 pair of wedges/heels if you want to dress up for dinner.
