Korean BBQ Turkey Bowls
If you’re like me, then you figure out how to cook one or two meals REALLY WELL and then eat those meals on repeat until you’re tired of them. LOL. Well that’s what these Korean BBQ Turkey Bowls are for me right now — my easy, delicious, healthy, go-to homemade meal! They’re a little sweet, a little spicy, and VERY delicious!
I found this original recipe on TikTok through @thedopemom_, but I switched up some of the ingredients for my personal taste!
Korean BBQ Turkey Bowls with Rice, Broccoli & Carrots
Total time to prep & cook: 20 minutes
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
2 cups rice (white, brown or cauliflower)
Handful of broccoli florets
Handful of carrot chips
Sauce:
4 tsp minced garlic
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Cook rice according to package directions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground turkey for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked
While turkey is cooking, make the sauce in a separate bowl
Once turkey is fully cooked, add the sauce to the skillet until sauce becomes thick/sticky
Add broccoli and carrots to skillet, mix in with the turkey/sauce, and cover with a lid on low-medium for 5 minutes
Serve turkey, broccoli, and carrots over rice and ENJOY!
