My Favorite Coffee Shops in Greenville, SC
A cozy + local coffee guide
If you’re searching for the best coffee shops in Greenville, South Carolina, you’re in the right place. This month in Greenville brought snow & ice (which feels illegal), cold mornings, and lots of time craving warm drinks. Between snow days and slow starts, I found myself rotating through my favorite local coffee shops around Greenville, Greer, and Travelers Rest.
This isn’t a “best of all time” list — it’s my personal go-to guide based on where I actually spent January. Cozy spots, great seasonal drinks, and places that made winter feel a little softer.
☕️ Daydrinkers Coffee
Location: Greenville
Go-to order: Warm brown sugar cinnamon latte
Also order: Brie + bacon breakfast pastry
Daydrinkers was a January staple for me. Their brown sugar cinnamon latte is the definition of cozy — warm, slightly sweet, and perfect for cold mornings. And if you’re there, do not skip the brie + bacon breakfast pastry. It’s rich, flaky, savory, and genuinely one of the best pastries I’ve had at a Greenville coffee shop.
Best for admin mornings, friendly faces, and full winter comfort mode.
☕️ Vintage Coffee
Location: Greenville
Go-to order: Sweetheart Latte (cherry & vanilla)
Vintage Coffee is where I go when I want coffee to feel fun. The Sweetheart Latte — cherry and vanilla — is unexpected in the best way and a nice break from heavier winter flavors. It’s playful, cozy, and perfect when everything starts to feel a little monotonous.
☕️ Methodical Coffee
Location: Greenville
Go-to order: Seasonal latte or matcha
Methodical is always a yes. Their seasonal lattes are consistently excellent, and the space feels elevated without being intimidating. This is my go-to spot when I want coffee to feel like a treat or I’m meeting a friend downtown.
Coffee Shops in Greer, SC Worth the Drive
☕️ Third Place Coffee
Location: Greer
Go-to order: Fig latte
Third Place Coffee continues to be one of my favorite coffee shops near Greenville. The fig latte is elite, and the space itself feels calm and welcoming. It’s perfect for solo mornings, errands days, or anytime you want to slow down. I love stopping in after my workout classes at Studio Fire!
☕️ Vintage Saddle Coffee
Location: Greer
Go-to order: The John Wayne
Next on my list: The Reba
Vintage Saddle Coffee is such a fun find in Greer. All of their drinks are named after western themes, which immediately makes the experience feel different. I ordered The John Wayne and loved it — bold and unique. I’m already planning a return trip to try The Reba next.
Best Coffee Shops in Travelers Rest, SC
☕️ Bridge City Coffee
Location: Travelers Rest
Go-to order: Maple latte
Bridge City Coffee is a Travelers Rest staple for us. The maple latte is a winter favorite — warm, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. We also buy our coffee beans here for our at-home coffees, which feels like extending the café experience into everyday life.
☕️ D’Cafe
Location: Downtown Travelers Rest
Go-to order: Honestly, anything
D’Cafe is a Costa Rican café right in the heart of downtown Travelers Rest, and every cup of coffee I’ve had there has been delicious. The space is incredibly cozy and invites you to slow down and stay awhile — perfect for winter mornings or relaxed afternoons.
A Cozy Coffee Tour Around Greenville
January reminded me that routines don’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes getting out of the house, grabbing a warm drink, and sitting somewhere familiar is enough. These Greenville-area coffee shops helped make this month feel comforting instead of chaotic.
